This comprehensive sports center next to the City Cultural Center was the result of a project begun in fiscal 1992 to commemorate the opening of the Fukushima Airport on March 20, 1993. The sizable building is the main arena inside the prefecture and can be used for a sub-arena, with training rooms, shower rooms, meeting rooms, areas for kids・activities, and different events; a complete citizens・sports place. It was the venue for table tennis at the 1995 Fukushima National Athletic Meet. Located in the center of Fukushima Prefecture and close to the Tohoku Expressway Sukagawa Interchange, it has parking for 406 so many people can come from everywhere.
