The Japanese Kimono Culture Museum mainly displays traditional kimonos from the Edo Period until the start of the Showa Period. From a collection of over 3000 kimonos, we usually have about 60 on display at any time, including the extremely elaborate old costume of women of certain class. Three times a year, we plan a themed kimono event and exhibit. And not only kimonos. We also display a selection of cosmetics, hairpins and accessories that women used in older times.
Inside we have an early "Showa Living Museum" that also displays a collection of toys and furniture; and also a cafe.
