Abukumado Cavern is in Fukushima Prefecture, Tamura City. Nature had built up this wonder over a period of 80,000,000 years. The number and kind of stalactites is unsurpassed anywhere in the eastern hemisphere. With a constant temperature of 15 degrees, it has become a major tourist facility open all year long, seven days a week.The cavern is so strong that it suffered no damage from the tremendous Eastern Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011.
